All About Anti Wrinkle Eye Cream

Filed Under (Anti-aging Skincare, Skin Care Products) by Paula Paulson on 26-10-2008

Most people do not realize that their skin begins to show signs of aging once they reach the age of 25. Anti wrinkle eye cream becomes more important than ever so you need to be religious in application as well as practice healthier lifestyle habits that maintain and protect your skin. Make sure you invest only in the best ingredients as well to keep your skin looking radiant, fresh and healthy all day long.

The Basic Routine

You should start looking for anti wrinkle eye creams when you reach 25 years old to prevent under eye dryness and dark circles that become more pronounced in the next few years. Your skin will better be able to function naturally if you search only for the best and effective ingredients coming from natural sources. Application of the anti wrinkle eye cream should not feel heavy or greasy on your skin. Put just enough to hydrate the skin. Gel-based creams are more effective for those with oily skin while heavier creams work better for those with dry skin.

Some formulas feature two types wherein the first should be applied during the daytime while the second is used just before going to bed at night. Another dual combination involves the first one to treat puffiness and dryness and the second cream to prolong hydration and improve absorption of the first. Always follow instructions and the recommended amount of application to get the maximum benefits.

How to Apply

Use your ring finger when using anti wrinkle eye cream. You will be able to put just enough without forcing down or pressuring the area. Putting too much or pressing down too hard can aggravate the signs and stress the area. Remember to apply the entire eye area but not on the eyes. Apply enough cream on spaces where you expect crow’s feet and fine lines to potentially spread over time. These include the upper eyelids, near the brows and by the temples.

Apply anti wrinkle eye creams before you use concealers including two-type formulas. The cream will provide a smoother base later on. Allow the formula to absorb a little initially then apply the concealer before the cream dries out entirely. You can also apply more cream over the concealer to enhance hydration. Add a small amount of cream beneath the eyes to recharge and rehydrate your skin during midday. It is important that you maintain consistency when applying to expect positive and obvious results. Once a day application at least is useful.

Ingredients to Watch Out For

Anti wrinkle eye cream however needs to properly suit your skin type. Some ingredients tend to aggravate symptoms depending on the condition and person’s response. Alcohol has a drying effect and can emphasize dark areas due to the already dry state of the areas around the eyes. Your eyes can water and the area around irritated. Petrolatum is a derivative of mineral oil which is not compatible to most people’s skin’s sebum or oil.

Pores can get clogged and the pH can become imbalanced. Oiliness or dryness can be increased as a result. Paraffin is also another ingredient that tends to clog pores and irritate your eyes. Good ingredients consist of active compounds and vitamins such as COQ10. These improve keratinal value in skin hair and nails.
